Kindle winners announced

Submitted by Editor on November 4, 2011 – 5:09 amOne Comment

CD-Traveller and ChatCloud would like to congratulate Anne-Marie (Leeds) and David (Kelso), who were drawn at random from the participants in our recent survey to receive the new Kindle 6″!

Thanks to all of you for your participation in the research on holidays – your contributions and opinions are always valued and the results have thrown up some very interesting findings. You certainly do like your holidays! We will be sharing the results of our research with you in the near future.

And to the two lucky winners: keep in touch, and tell us where you travelled with your Kindle and what you read whilst you were there!

Your CD-Traveller Team

  • Hi guys! I received the Kindle. Have to say, we own a Sony Reader, and a recent iPad 2 – but this is the first time I’ve read through an entire book in a day, because the device is so small and the text is so clear I can read easily without specs in room light. It does not seem to want or need an expensive folding cover-thingy the way the other devices do (both have cases) and I find that there’s some MUSIC – my kind of music, 1600-1899! which I can load on to it.

So, this wee thingy will come with me next week to Tenerife along with my Tacoma Papoose guitar, and I can sit watching the sun set over La Gomera from our timeshare balcony (cliffs of Los Gig to the right hand side) while noodling through some extremely rude stuff from D’Urfey’s Pills to Purge Melancholy. Rude, that is, if you were a Restoration whig…

    Davie
