The Games are coming: get involved!

Apparently 25 per cent of Brits who have booked a break abroad this summer, have done so in order to escape the Olympics – according to a survey by Travelex.

The Foreign Exchange company estimates that approximately 10 million people have made plans to leave London during the Games citing crowds as a key reason for wanting to get away. Charles Saatchi says he will be “watching the Games in an air conditioned bar in some hideaway Italian hotel” while two thirds of those looking to escape the sporting showpiece, said they would be sojourning to Spain.

However, here at CD-Traveller headquarters the excitement about this year’s extraordinary events has started to build and the majority of team will happily be holidaying at home. What about you?
