Fingerprinting for Malaysian Visitors
If you have flown into Malaysia in the last week or so, then you might have found it takes a little longer to get through passport control. This is because the authorities have introduced the fingerprinting of both index fingers as part of the checking of who is entering the country.

The storm seems to have peaked and some taxis are out meaning many roads are passable. But there is flooding in New York and parts of New Jersey. Flights will still be suspended for most of the day.
Does some masochist calculate train fares spending days in locked-up windowless, tea-deprived cells trying to calculate these unfathomable things? Many moons ago, did I dream that some government minister or another potential human say that the huge array of fares would be simplified or was that wishful thinking?
