Caryn Franklin’s tips for getting the most out of your fashion break
Whether you’re planning on holidaying at home or abroad this summer, follow in the footsteps of the Queen and Kate Middleton and look your best! Fashion guru, Caryn Franklin, shares five fab-u-lous tips for a fashionable break
Think like a stylist, work like a stylist
Dress to facilitate taking your clothes on and off. Nothing fussy. I always wear leggings and a vest then a dress over the top. Remove the dress and you are away! You can stand around in leggings and a vest and even leave the changing room.
Moving around, taking clothes on and off will leave you feeling hot and bothered – use some handy wipes to freshen up and you will be ready to continue on your quest for that ‘must-have’ item!
Hair needs to be off the face and secured
If you are taking clothes on and off this isn’t the time for a tricky hair do, the clothes will catch on your hair leaving you frustrated and irritated. A simple hair band/ elastic band will solve that and keep you in the mood to shop till you drop.
Take several large cloth bags
They are easier to carry from shop to shop than stiff, clunky carrier bags. Stuff them in your bag until you need them then use them to consolidate all that shopping in a couple of easy to carry items – they are ecological as well!
Wear flat shoes
You’ll be walking from shop to shop all day and need to feel comfortable when trying clothes on. Wearing heels is pointless – you have a job to do,
you’re not posing.
