A bite of the Big Apple
Want to take a bite out of the Big Apple? Hot foot it to New York for the misleadingly named restaurant week (it actually runs for 20 days from July 26 to August 10).
Regardless, the event – which this year celebrates its 20th year along with founding sponsor American Express – offers locals and tourists alike the opportunity to experience some of New York City’s finest restaurants for a fraction of the usual price.
More than 300 restaurants – including Barbetta, Brasserie, Chin Chin, Delmonico’s, Gotham Bar and Grill, Mesa Grill, The Palm, Tribeca Grill, Victor’s Café and Water’s Edge – are offering the finest fixed priced, three-course lunches for US$24.07, and dinner for US$35 from Monday to Friday (tips and taxes not included).
“The restaurant industry is an integral component of New York City’s vibrancy and one of the reasons we welcomed more than 50 million visitors to the five boroughs last year,” said NYC & Company CEO, George Fertitta. “We’re proud to celebrate the 20th anniversary of NYC Restaurant Week, providing New Yorkers and visitors with the opportunity to sample some of the finest restaurants in the world at a fraction of the regular price.”
Reservations can be made from Monday (July 9) at nycgo.com/restaurantweek
