Ski and Snowboard Show gears up for winter with new exhibitors and features
The Ski and Snowboard Show today announces a series of new exhibitors and activities for the annual snowsports extravaganza which marks the start of the season for Britain’s skiers and snowboarders.
Having moved datelines this year to coincide with the October school half-term holidays the emphasis for this year’s show is very much on “doing” rather than watching with features and activities designed to encourage new participants to the sport as well as entertaining those with more experience. These include a 280m2 real ice rink, curling lanes, beer and wine tasting and the Skills Slope with the Warren
Smith Ski Academy which aims to encourage people to get onto the snow by providing skiing and snowboarding tuition at the show.
Warren Smith, Director says: “The Skills Slope at this year’s Ski and Snowboard Show will be the best yet. It’s been designed to cater
for beginners, intermediate, advanced and expert level skiers and boarders. You’ll be able to perfect your parallel turns, get your mogul skiing dialled, learn how to ride boxes and maybe even hit a kicker.“
The show has also confirmed a number of new and returning exhibitors. These include an extended retail presence for Ellis Brigham Mountain Sports and The Snowboard Asylum at the show which ensures that visitors will have full access to the vast range of winter 2012-13 snowsports products, including a full boot-fitting service, from one of the UK’s biggest mountain sports retailers. There will also be an exclusive The North Face brand store at the show for the first time, offering outdoor apparel and
accessories to combat the winter freeze from Klosters to the Kings Road.
The Ski and Snowboard Show is taking place from Wednesday 31 October to Sunday 4 November 2012 at Earls Court
